Not every project deserves portfolio space. I look for ideas that demonstrate a real workflow, some judgment under constraints, and a reason a hiring team might care.
Projects become stronger when they show a business problem, user need, or product decision. Even a small app can feel substantial if it solves a concrete problem thoughtfully.
When I evaluate a project idea, I ask whether it adds a new signal to my profile. If it looks too similar to what I already have, I would rather deepen an existing case study than create another shallow one.
